Particular interest in old buildings – their repair and re-use and in sustainable design

Wide variety of work carried out, to list a few:

 

Private houses:

New build at Weem for Dr Lawn incorporating geothermal heat pump – see Giorra

Extension at Smithy Croft for Mr and Mrs Scott with Carpenter Oak Frame - see Smithy Croft

New house in walled garden at Colliston Castle using a whole range of sustainable materials as well as very high level of thermal insulation with the latest reflective technology and sheep’s wool along with another geothermal heat pump.

These three schemes were submitted for the RIAS accreditation in Sustainable Design which was granted in June 2004 – Class 1

 

Listed buildings:

Conversion of Stables, Bruckley

Repair of ruined Church at Tigh an Tuir Strathtay

Repair of ruined Steading and alterations and extension to Appin House, Dull

 

Conversion of Steadings:

Pitilie, Aberfeldy to two houses

Scroggiehill Miekleour

 

New shop fronts:

Victors Jewellers, Allan St, Blairgowrie and internal alterations and fitting out

Two Bells, Leslie St, Blairgowrie

 

Countryside works:

Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust – Cateran Trail and Griffin Cycle Track (contract administrator)

Woodland Trust – Roads, tracks and bridges at Glen Finglas

Reconstruction of houses on the Isle of Rona

 

Planning work:

For the Co-operative Group – conversion of Steadings and other buildings including a watermill: Rosemount Estate, Blairgowrie and Monktonhill, Ayreshire
